As FIFA World Cup 2026™ continues in Atlanta, the city is welcoming visitors from around the world and working to ensure every guest feels at home.

For nearly four years, the City, community partners, hospitality leaders and FIFA stakeholders have prepared for this moment. While much of that work has focused on transportation, public safety and operations, another important part has been making sure visitors can comfortably experience Atlanta while maintaining the traditions and routines that matter to them.

“True hospitality means anticipating the needs of people before they arrive,” said Mayor Andre Dickens. “As we welcome visitors from around the world, we want every guest—regardless of background or faith—to feel respected, supported and able to fully participate in everything Atlanta has to offer while remaining connected to their own traditions.”

Meeting Visitors Where They Are

One example of that preparation is a series of accommodations designed to support Muslim guests throughout the tournament.

The Mayor’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs (MOIIA) helped establish additional prayer spaces at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, giving travelers a place for prayer and reflection while moving through one of the world’s busiest airports.

Inside Atlanta Stadium

Atlanta Stadium has also introduced several accommodations designed to make the matchday experience more welcoming and accessible.

Visitors will find dedicated prayer spaces located throughout the stadium, including areas designed to provide privacy, directional prayer guidance and nearby access to restrooms.

Guests looking for halal food options will find offerings at locations throughout the venue, including Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, Mac Shac and designated halal food carts.

The stadium has also enhanced signage and wayfinding resources and trained Muslim Hospitality Ambassadors who can help visitors locate prayer spaces, concessions and other services during events.

A Welcome That Goes Beyond the Match

These efforts are part of a broader commitment to making Atlanta welcoming and accessible for visitors from around the world.

Whether someone is attending a match, visiting the FIFA Fan Festival™, exploring Atlanta’s neighborhoods or passing through the airport, the goal is simple: make it easy for people to enjoy their experience and feel comfortable while they’re here.

As fans from Saudi Arabia, Morocco and dozens of other countries gather in Atlanta this summer, the city is ready to welcome them.
