On a crisp November evening at The Interlock, community leaders, athletes, and advocates came together for Empower Her. Inspire All., an event hosted by AMB Sports and Entertainment and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. The gathering honored the women shaping the future of sports and marked the long-awaited return of professional women’s soccer to Atlanta.

A Night of Momentum and Meaning

Beeline Boulevard came alive as guests filled the outdoor stage area and indoor retreat space to celebrate women in leadership, teamwork, and community. The night opened with a performance by Zoe and featured remarks from ESPN analyst Andraya Carter, NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman, and U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cone.

Mayor Andre Dickens joined Arthur Blank on stage to recognize the city’s growing presence in the global soccer arena. “This is about leadership and what happens when ownership, community, and commitment are aligned,” said Mayor Dickens. “Somewhere in Atlanta right now could be the next great soccer star—someone who will grow up knowing she can train here, play here, and win here.”

Atlanta’s Place on the World Stage

With the upcoming FIFA World Cup, the new U.S. National Training Center, and Atlanta United’s record-setting success, the city continues to lead the country’s soccer movement. The addition of a women’s franchise completes that vision, creating opportunities for athletes and fans across generations.

Arthur Blank reflected on that vision in his remarks, noting that the city’s culture of inclusion and investment extends beyond the game. “Atlanta has always been a place where people come together to make history,” he said. “We’re building something that will open doors for years to come.”

Passing the Torch

The “Girl on Fire” sequence—featuring young local players—brought the crowd to its feet as the city symbolically celebrated the next generation. It was a powerful reminder that representation matters and that the pathways built today will shape the future of women’s sports in Atlanta and beyond.

U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cone, a former Atlanta Beat player and Olympic gold medalist, closed the evening with optimism about what comes next. “This city has a deep connection to the game,” she said. “To see it come full circle for women and girls is something truly special.”

Moving Atlanta Forward

The Empower Her. Inspire All. event captured the energy of a city that continues to lead with purpose. For the thousands in attendance, it was more than a celebration—it was a commitment to keep creating spaces where every player, coach, and fan belongs.
