Summer camp is in full swing across Atlanta, and Camp Best Friends campers are getting a special keepsake to remember it.
As part of the program’s 45th anniversary celebration, more than 4,000 FIFA soccer balls have been distributed to campers ages 5 to 18 at Camp Best Friends locations across the city.
This year’s theme, “One World, One Goal,” connects Camp Best Friends’ milestone anniversary with Atlanta’s role as a FIFA World Cup 2026™ Host City. Campers have also been taking photos with an official FIFA soccer ball and participating in soccer-themed activities throughout the summer.
The excitement will continue in the coming weeks with additional soccer activations, including a dedicated soccer camp at Collier Park, giving campers even more opportunities to learn the game, stay active and build teamwork.
For 45 years, Camp Best Friends has given generations of Atlanta children a safe, fun and enriching place to spend their summers. This year’s celebration adds a global twist, helping thousands of young Atlantans take part in the excitement surrounding the world’s biggest sporting event while creating memories of their own.
