What does Grammy nominated Marsha Ambrosius and saxophonist Charles McPherson have in common? They both performed at the 48th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival. Once again, Piedmont Park was transformed into a music oasis as it welcomed more than 100,000 Atlantans and visitors throughout Memorial Day weekend. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is still one of the largest free jazz festivals in the world and it’s all produced by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is truly a celebration of music, culture, and the art of jazz.
Presented by Design Essentials, the festival had an impressive line-up with emerging and established artists from the around the world. The festival also created a full experience for festivalgoers with a variety of vendors throughout the park and a Publix Kid Zone for families with young children.
