When Atlanta voters approved the Moving Atlanta Forward infrastructure bond, they invested in safer streets, stronger parks, and modern public safety facilities across the city.
Today, that work is visible in neighborhoods throughout Atlanta.
More than $119 million has been invested citywide through Moving Atlanta Forward, with projects underway or complete across transportation, parks and recreation, and public safety.
This is not a single project. It is a citywide portfolio of improvements designed to modernize the infrastructure Atlantans rely on every day.
Transportation: Safer Roads and Better Connections
Through Moving Atlanta Forward, more than $52 million has been invested in transportation projects.
Across the city, that includes:
- Emergency bridge repairs on Cheshire Bridge Road
- Resurfacing and safety improvements on Mt. Paran Road and Blackland Road
- Construction of the PATH Westside Paper Spur Trail
- Progress on the Silver Comet Connector – MacArthur Boulevard
- Sidewalk installations along corridors including Ralph McGill Boulevard, Oakland Drive, Fulton Industrial Boulevard, and M.L. King Jr. Drive
From smoother pavement to safer crossings and expanded trail connectivity, these projects are improving how residents move through their neighborhoods every day.
Parks and Recreation: Investing in Neighborhood Spaces
Moving Atlanta Forward has also invested more than $40 million in parks and recreation upgrades.
Residents are seeing improvements such as:
- Playground replacements at Beaverbrook Park, Brownwood Park, Maddox Park, and Tremont Playlot
- Improvements at Grant Park Recreation Center and Peachtree Hills Recreation Center
- Outdoor pool and bathhouse upgrades at facilities including Thomasville Park and Mozley Park
- Expanded ADA accessibility improvements at parks citywide
These investments strengthen neighborhood gathering spaces and ensure parks and recreation facilities are more accessible and welcoming for all Atlantans.
Public Safety Facilities: Strengthening Community Infrastructure
More than $21 million is advancing modernized public safety facilities across the city.
That includes progress on:
- The Atlanta Center for Diversion & Services
- Construction of Fire Stations 25, 26, and 30
- The new Zone 4 Police Precinct
- Continued advancement of improvements to the City’s emergency response infrastructure
These projects support long-term safety and service delivery in communities across Atlanta.
A Citywide Effort
Moving Atlanta Forward spans all 12 council districts, with projects ranging from neighborhood sidewalk installations to major public facilities.
With more than half of projects already underway or complete, the infrastructure bond voters approved is actively delivering results — strengthening streets, parks, and public safety infrastructure that will serve Atlanta for years to come.
