Grammy-winning producer Dallas Austin is known for writing and producing chart-topping hits
like “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg” by TLC and “Don’t Take It Personal” by Monica but now he’s also
known for creating Atlanta’s sound of soccer.
After naming Atlanta as one of the host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA called upon
Atlanta’s very own Dallas Austin to create the city’s unique sonic ID, a two-minute track that
echoes pride and authenticity. The track incorporates classic Atlanta sounds like the marching
band, chants, 808s and more. The song begins and ends with the A-T-L chant, a chant that is
rooted in our city’s sporting culture.
The dynamic sonic ID will ring throughout Atlanta when the city hosts activations and fixtures
for the ultimate prize for one of the world’s greatest sporting events. FIFA commissioned artists
from host cities across the United States to create Sonic IDs for their cities. They’re all based
around a common motif that will be the theme for the first World Cup hosted on U.S. soil since
1994.
Atlanta’s sonic ID is more than a song. It’s a rhythm that sounds and feels like home.
