Atlanta seniors dressed to impress and came ready to celebrate Friday at the City of Atlanta’s 2026 Senior Ball: A Royal Renaissance.
Mayor Andre Dickens joined hundreds of older Atlantans at the Georgia World Congress Center for an evening of dinner, dancing, live music and fellowship.
The celebration featured performances from gospel legend Vickie Winans, The Delfonics and Nellie “Tiger” Travis, along with prizes and plenty of time on the dance floor.
Mayor Dickens welcomed guests and recognized the generations of Atlantans who helped build and shape the city. He was also joined by his mother, Sylvia Dickens—Atlanta’s “First Mother”—who welcomed seniors and thanked the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services Commission on Aging for its work supporting older residents.
The celebration also brought together City and community leaders, including former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, who delivered greetings.
The Senior Ball is one of the City’s signature events for older Atlantans, bringing residents together each year for an evening centered on community, connection and celebration.
The annual Senior Ball was made possible with support from a long list of sponsors and community partners, including Kaiser Permanente, Atlanta Parks and Recreation, MARTA, Loop Capital, Chick-fil-A, Comcast, Atlanta Housing, Aflac, CLEAR, Anthem, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and others.
