Every week, families across Atlanta line up at the APS Student & Family Support Hub, where bags of fresh food and essential supplies are distributed to those who need them most. For many, this weekly tradition is more than just groceries — it’s a source of relief, hope, and community.
The Mayor’s Office of Violence Reduction has been proud to join forces with the Support Hub, working side by side to fight food insecurity and strengthen neighborhoods. Together, the partnership has ensured that hundreds of families have access not only to meals, but also to the support and sense of belonging that help communities thrive.
“This kind of partnership is what building safer, stronger communities looks like,” said staff from the Mayor’s Office of Violence Reduction. “It’s neighbors looking out for neighbors, and organizations stepping up to meet families where they are.”
