The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) has announced the muralists selected for Phase One of the new “Bridges, Tunnels, and Walls” public art initiative. Funded through the Moving Atlanta Forward Bond 2.0, this citywide program will transform ordinary infrastructure into vibrant cultural landmarks.
Launching this fall, the initiative is set to enhance public spaces across Atlanta with large-scale murals that showcase the city’s artistic talent and rich cultural diversity. From bridges and tunnels to walls in key neighborhoods, residents and visitors alike will soon see everyday spaces reimagined as canvases of community pride.
The program is more than an investment in public art—it’s part of Atlanta’s preparation to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. By infusing art into the city’s landscape, the murals are expected to draw tourism, boost foot traffic, and celebrate Atlanta’s identity as a global city rooted in creativity and culture.
Keep an eye out this fall—something beautiful may be coming to a bridge, tunnel, or wall near you.
