While the world has come to Atlanta for FIFA World Cup 2026™, residents and visitors still have several opportunities to experience one of the city’s most unique cultural offerings: the Atlanta Cultural Exchange.
Located at The CTR in Downtown Atlanta, the Atlanta Cultural Exchange brings together artists, musicians, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, designers and cultural leaders for a series of free events celebrating the creativity that has made Atlanta a global cultural capital.
Mayor Andre Dickens visited the Exchange on June 23, meeting with organizers, artists and participants as programming continued throughout the World Cup tournament.
“The Atlanta Cultural Exchange is an opportunity for Atlanta to showcase the creativity, cultural achievements and vibrant community we have cultivated for generations,” Mayor Dickens said. “The Exchange is designed to provide a platform where local artists, performers and storytellers can celebrate Atlanta excellence on a local stage while amplifying their voices on a global scale.”
A Different Side of Atlanta
Across eight event days, the Exchange features programming focused on art, music, fashion and entertainment, creating opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with Atlanta’s creative community in new ways.
Recent events have included conversations with filmmakers, artists, musicians and civic leaders, along with live performances, interactive installations, gaming experiences and cultural showcases representing communities from around the world.
What’s Still Ahead
Several event days remain, including:
- June 26: Global Tastemakers Reception, conversations on culture and identity, music experiences and entrepreneurship-focused programming.
- June 30: Discussions on creativity, technology and innovation, including a panel featuring Google and City of Atlanta leaders.
- July 6: African innovation and culture conversations, immersive experiences and a live edition of Conversate with Killer Mike.
