The Mayor’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (MOEDI) teamed up with Morgan Shaw Parker, President of the Atlanta Dream and a key member of the Mayor’s Women of Atlanta Advisory Council, to host an inspiring night at the Atlanta Dream’s season home opener. The event brought together members of the Advisory Council, their families, and Mayor Andre Dickens to celebrate the unwavering strength, leadership, and promise of women and girls across the city.
The evening was a dynamic display of civic pride and community unity, capped by a moving halftime ceremony. During the ceremony, Chief Equity Officer Candace Stanciel was named one of the Dream’s “Unstoppable Women in Atlanta.” She was honored for her transformative leadership, tireless dedication to building equitable systems, and her role in shaping a more inclusive future for all Atlantans.
