The City of Atlanta has launched a new and improved NotifyATL emergency alert system, led by the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Preparedness, giving residents a more reliable way to receive important emergency and weather information.
Residents can sign up by texting NOTIFYATL to 888777 or visiting atlantaga.gov/notifyatl.
Already Signed Up? Register Again
Residents who have signed up for NotifyATL in the past should also complete the new registration.
Contact information has been transferred to the new system, but individual profile selections and notification preferences were not. Registering again allows residents to update their address and choose the alerts and community information they want to receive.
What’s New
The updated NotifyATL system provides:
- More reliable service and better coverage
- Alerts more closely aligned with National Weather Service messaging
- An easier way to update your address and notification preferences
- More options to choose the types of alerts and community information you receive
Residents who register will automatically receive emergency alerts and alerts for potentially life-threatening weather. They can also choose to receive other weather alerts and community news.
